Story so far -
Lady Death has returned to claim Hell as hers alone to rule. An encounter with Lady Demon, once her demonic persona but now a separate entity, revealed a link between the two; if one is hurt, the other feels the pain. Amid a fierce battle with three Arch Dukes of Hell, Lady Death inexplicable fell to unconsciousness, but her blade Nightmare carried on the battle. Why did she lose consciousness?
Leviatha, Lucifer's bride, has returned and discovered Lady Demon. Tinkering with Lady Demon has led to Lady Death's current condition. In the process, Leviatha learmed that Lady Death is behind the defeat of Lucifer and the beheading of Thanatos, her son.

Until recently, Lady Death feared she was losing control of the Endless Graveyard and everything around her. She discovered it was Purgatori, the vampiric Goddess of Judgement and Lucifer's former beloved, who was behind it all. The two engaged in battle and it looked as if Lady Death would not prevail.
